Barrel Plug vs. Barrel Condom

Both paintball barrel plugs and condoms are used as a form of safety, for when the paintball marker (gun) is misfired. They block the paintball from exiting the barrel (a tube like piece that’s located at the end of the paintball marker, where the paintball exits from once fired). Barrel plugs are made from plastic and are placed inside the tip of the barrel. The one down fall for plugs is that after 2-3 shots it slides out. While barrel condoms are made from ballistic nylon and go over the tip of the barrel. They have an elastic band the is tied to the end of the paintball marker (gun), so when the marker is misfired it does not detach no matter how many shots have been fired. Most fields now start to require barrel condoms instead of plugs. Their both around $8 but plugs are a little harder to find.
