Why upgrade my barrel on my new paintball marker?

Let’s start by saying that all paintballs are generally .68 caliber. When a new marker is purchased the stock barrel (a tube like piece that’s located at the end of the marker, where the paintball exits from once fired) is considerably short and the bore size is big. The bore size on stock barrels is around .691, so no matter what paint you shoot it won’t break. But by that, you are loosing accuracy and distance. By getting a new barrel its size around 14”-21” with a smaller bore size, your paintballs will fly further and be more accurate. You should pick the bore size accordingly to the paintballs you usually purchase. For example, it’s the same idea as spit ball when you were in school. If the spit ball was too small for the straw it didn’t shoot well and didn’t go very far. But if it was too big, it didn’t shoot at all! But when it fit it just right, is shot accurately and far!
